West Linn Neighborhoods are located just east of Lake Oswego and share many of its attributes of quality homes, good schools and location. Demographic is 35-45 with kids and reasonable affluent.
West Linn was built on a wonderful mountain offering homes with a view of Mt. Hood and the Willamette River that can not be matched anywhere. West Linn has the largest concentration of large newer homes in the metro area. While the lot sizes are fairly small the homes are large and well-appointed. There are no strip malls within the residential areas which adds to the beauty. The eastern edge of the City backs up to the Willamette River. A great place for kids.
Homes are large and new with contempory or craftsman design on the exterior. Prices start at about $500k and move up from there. There is a wonderful old downtown strip in the Willamette Falls neighborhood full of resturaunts and shops. This is also where the weekly Farmers Market takes place.
This area has a real sense of community. Every time I’m in West Linn, whether it’s morning, noon or night, I see people jogging (with strollers) and riding bikes. Marylhurst College is also located in West Linn along the river.
