Northwest Portland Neighborhoods consists of an area, which is located on the north side of Hwy. 26. It has excellent access to both downtown Portland and the high-tech companies within the “Sunset corridor”.There is a large supply of executive homes starting in the mid $600’s and going up to about $950,000.+. You can also find a nice supply of condos and townhomes starting in the low $200’s for a two bedroom.
This area also contains homes on larger 1/2 to acre lots starting at $850,000. up off Skyline Blvd and Germantown Road. Further west are the older communities of Oak Hills and Rock Creek offering homes build in the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s starting at $400,000 for a three bedroom two bath ranch home . The Bethany area was built starting in the early 1990’s and has many neighborhoods for families of all sizes. There is also some new construction neighborhoods in the area starting in the low $400s (which is rare). Schools are outstanding and the demographic is strong in the 35-45 age group with children. I would guess that one out of every three workers is associated with the high-tech industry in some form or another. This area also has nice diversity due to the high-tech employment. MAX, our light rail system, has a large transit center
nearby (Sunset Transit Center) which services Hillsboro as well as downtown Portland. You can also take MAX to the airport from here.
These areas are within the Beaverton School District.
