NE Portland was a very desirable area during 2006 as younger residents bought whatever they could afford and then upgraded if needed. NE has such an ambience and charm with local stores, restaurants and sense of community. The area was built around 1890-1930 with many homes reflecting the styles of Tudor, Craftsman, Bungalow and Queen Ann. A short 7-10 minute jaunt from the downtown core, but detached from the bustle of the city.
